This ‘invitation-only’ camp provides a development opportunity for high school girls who have birthdays in 1992 or later, have a 2K erg score of 7:20 or faster (1992), 7:28 or faster for 1993 and 7:40 or faster for 1994 or younger and have demonstrated the ability to compete at a high level.

2010 Jr Women Standards by Age
Again this year, the following Teams will be selected from the Sweep Selection Camp:
The US Junior National Team will compete in the Junior World Championships in Racice, Czech Republic, August 5-8, 2010 in the 8+ and 4-. The Camp will also be sending two athletes to compete in the US Junior Team 2- Trials.
The High Performance Team will provide a development opportunity for athletes who have birthdays in 1993 or later that have demonstrated the ability to compete at a high level. The goal of this opportunity is to prepare the “next fastest” 10 rowers and 1 coxswain from Camp who are age eligible and provide them with international racing experience. They will train in Berlin, Germany from July 19 to July 29 and have the opportunity to scrimmage with boats from the German Junior National Team.
The CanAmMex Team will provide a development opportunity for 8 rowers and 1 coxswain who are age eligible The focus will be on how to train, increase their technical skill set and learn how to prepare physically and mentally for international competition. They will represent the US in the sweep events at CanAmMex. The dates and locations will be announced early 2010.
Sculling Selection Camp

The sculling selection camp will select Junior National Team athletes who will compete in a 4x- at the 2010 World Junior Championships August 5-8 in the Czech Republic and the 4x that will be representing the US at CanAmMex (site TBD) in July. The camp also will be sending multiple W2x to Junior World Championship Trials on June 23-26 in West Windsor, N.J.
Invitation to Selection Camp will be made according to the following criteria:
* Performance at the 2009-2010 Junior Identification Camps * Competition results during the 2010 season in 1x; 2x and 4x * 2009-2010 National Team Testing * Athlete’s ability to match the style and technique of the crew * Physical and physiological characteristics, e.g. Erg Scores: absolute and weight related * Results and other trials held throughout the year
The invitations for this camp will be automatically made to the following:
* Top two W1x from Scholastic Nationals * Top two W2x from Scholastic Nationals * Top two W1x from Stotesbury Cup Regatta * Top two W2x from Stotesbury Cup Regatta * Top three W1x from Youth Nationals * Top three W2x from Youth Nationals * Top two W4x from Youth Nationals
There also will be a number of at-large invitations issued at the discretion of the Head Coach.
Camp Phases:
“Phase I” for the W4x will be held at GMS Rowing Center, New Milford, CT from June 14th to June 27th, 2010
Phase I Camp Cost: $1400
"Phase II" will run from June 27th through Junior Worlds (August 9)
Phase II Camp Cost: $2000
At the Selection Camp, the Head Coach will select crews based on the following factors, which are listed in no particular order:
* 2009-2010 National Team Testing * Athlete’s compatibility with rest of crew * 2k Test Score at the camp absolute and weight related * Time trial in singles at the camp * Doubles matrix during the camp * Competitive performance during training sessions * Overall performance at the Selection Camp
