The 2013 Junior Worlds Development Team provides a development opportunity for athletes who have birthdays in 1995 or later that have demonstrated the ability to compete at a high level. The goal of this opportunity is to prepare the “next fastest” 14 rowers and 1 coxswain from Selection Camp who are age eligible and provide them with international racing experience. They will train in Berlin, Germany and will have the opportunity to scrimmage with boats from the German Junior National Team.
This has proven to be an invaluable part of our Junior National Team athlete development including preparing for racing in unfamiliar environs, dealing with nutritional challenges, working through jet lag and not hearing a lot of the English language.
